Oceanside Sports Commission

Oceanside is home to world renowned sporting events including IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside, Race Across America (RAAM), and Super Girl Surf Pro.

Oceanside Sports Commission, a division of Visit Oceanside, was created to identify, promote and enhance sporting events to create a positive economic impact and improve the quality of life for the community.

The active and adventurous lifestyle is in our blood! The city offers a multitude of event venues to host tournaments, festivals, races and triathlons for all levels. The SoCal Sports Complex with twenty-one grass fields and the El Corazon Aquatic Center are a draw for collegiate and scholastic events for traveling teams, athletes, and their families. Oceanside’s beaches, harbor, parks and trails beckon outdoor adventure enthusiasts to enjoy cycling, surfing, pickleball, golf, birding, and fishing.

The Sports Commission team is your partner in planning and execution. We can be your liaison with local agencies, facilities operators, and other entities that impact the success of your event. We provide operational support through obtaining permits and venue contracts, collecting group rates for room blocks at qualified lodging properties, and creating a customized microsite with destination information. We offer marketing and media support with press release distribution to local media, promotion via social media and email marketing, and access to our collection of images and videos to enhance your efforts to boost attendance.

When the average year-round temperature in Oceanside is 70 degrees, locals and visitors alike will agree that the best place to be is outside, soaking up the sun. Our fabulous weather, family-friendly environment and central Southern California location, make Oceanside the ideal destination for your next sporting event.
