September 6-10, 2023

One of the top premiere adaptive surfing events in the world.

Adaptive surfing history would be made on October 21st and 22nd 2017 in Oceanside California on the north side of Oceanside Pier. This would be the site of the very first U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships hosted by Stoke for Life Foundation. Over the course of the weekend this contest would prove that elite world class adaptive surfing is here in to stay. The best of the best showed up to battle for the very first U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championship and a piece of the first prize money pool in adaptive surfing’s short history.

The main goal for the Stoke for Life Foundation is to bring awareness to the rehabilitative benefits of adaptive water sports through clinics and education. Their goals are to introduce these benefits in an effort to advance adaptive water sports and to raise awareness for access to our beach communities for those with disabilities.

Visit Oceanside and the Oceanside Sports Commission are proud to be the Hospitality Sponsor of the US Open Adaptive Surfing Championships.
