Check in and chill out. O’side is your one stop shop for all SoCal has to offer.
Perfectly positioned in the sweet spot between Los Angeles and San Diego, Oceanside opens visitors to all the iconic Southern California must-do experiences. Spend your days exploring the region, from world-famous attractions to wine country and mountain escapes, then return each evening to postcard sunsets, local flavors, and the o’riginal SoCal beach town experience.
SoCal’s not short on surf vibes and sandy beaches. So what sets O’side apart from the pack? Well, pretty much everything. Oceanside still holds onto that special sense of yesteryear surf culture, but with fresh, award-winning flavors, trendy chic digs, an authentic art scene, and yes, one of the best stretches of sandy beaches and surf-ready waves in SoCal. And did we mention O’side sits right in the sweet spot between Southern California’s most visited and beloved attractions? It’s the perfect beachy basecamp for your next SoCal adventure.
Oceanside sits at the northern edge of San Diego County, with San Diego to the south, Orange County and Los Angeles to the north, and Temecula wine country inland. Choose a direction, make a day of it, then point yourself back toward the pier.
At the Oceanside Transit Center, the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, COASTER, SPRINTER and Metrolink all meet just blocks from the sand. I-5 and Historic Highway 101 make road trips easy, while SAN, SNA, LAX and McClellan-Palomar Airport give flyers options in every direction.
Go big on the day trip, then come back to a beach town where the pace lets up. Oceanside’s wide sandy shoreline, pier, harbor and waterfront paths leave plenty of room for one more surf, stroll or sunset.
O’side gives your travel budget more room to breathe, with hotels and vacation rentals across a range of styles and price points, plenty of free things to do and one home base instead of a string of check-ins.
