Paint N Enjoy
Enjoy a beer while feeling artistic! Paint N Enjoy is happening every Wednesday evening from 6-7:30pm at Surfside Tap Room. Relax with a painting session and some pints of your favorite hand-craft beers, seasonal ales, porters, or stouts from local micro-breweries. The painting begins at 6pm and entrance includes paint, canvas, brushes, and lesson.

Hello Betty Fish House is teaming up with artist Margaret Chiaro for another edition of Palate to Palette on Sunday April 9th, 2-5p.m. For $45 students of any level will be instructed step by step how to paint their very own take home master copy of Claude Monet’s Water Lilies. All supplies are included, and Hello Betty will provide guests with their choice of one free glass of house wine or beer. The rooftop selection of tacos and signature raw bar will be available for purchase as well. Hello Betty is offering the perfect combination of art, food, and amazing ocean views, so get your seats now before they’re gone! Must be 21 or older to attend.

A Taste Of Art: With Music
On Thursday April 13th, 6-8pm, join Robin Douglas to channel Wassily Kandinsky and “hear colors” by creating musically inspired compositions. Paint while listening to classical, jazz, and rock music. Admission is $35 for members and $45 for visitors, which includes drinks, appetizers, and all the art supplies needed.

Poetry Celebration at the Library
April is National Poetry Month and the Oceanside Civic Center Public Library is offering a Community Poetry Celebration and Poet Talk on April 22nd at 3pm to coincide with the Oceanside Days of Art festival. Library staff have asked Oceanside Locals and Community Leaders to share their favorite poems in addition to having featured poet Patricia Traxler share her favorite poems plus a sampling of her own original poetry. This celebration is free to attend and open to the public!

Oceanside Days of Art
The 25th annual Oceanside Days of Art will be held on Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23, 2017, from 10 am to 5 pm. ODA is a juried fine art festival featuring up to and sometimes over 100 local artists selling a variety of unique artwork including paintings, sculptures, stained glass, ceramics, fine jewelry, photography and more. The festival which is offered free to the public has live stage performances, children’s and adult’s hands on art activities, street chalk artist, painting and sculpture demonstrations, and a delicious variety of food choices in the food court.

The Oceanside Museum of Art in celebration of the 25th annual Oceanside Days of Art festival will be offering half-price admission into the museum April 22nd and 23rd. OMA will be open for regular business hours during both days.

Workshop: Paper Making
On Tuesday & Thursday May 2nd and 4th, 1-4pm, the Oceanside Museum of Art invites you to attend a paper making workshop with Robin Douglas who will demonstrate how to make beautiful sheets of paper. Bring in plants, photos, and other objects to incorporate into your own stationery, journal, or 3-D work of art. All other supplies provided. Price is $30 for OMA members, and $40 for Visitors.

Oceanside Art Walk
Starting in 2017, the Oceanside Friends of the Arts will be taking over the Oceanside Art Walk! The First Friday: Oceanside Arts Walk will showcase live performances, music poetry, art education, and culinary and pop-up art galleries showcased in local businesses and public spaces. Admission to all venues is free and open to the public, and event maps will be distributed every month listing that month’s locations, art happenings and sponsors. Join us as we celebrate our thriving arts district in the heart of downtown Oceanside!
The Oceanside Cultural Consortium (OCC) was established in 2013 with the goal of establishing Oceanside and surrounding communities as an important arts, culture, entertainment and tourism hub/destination. Its members include nearly 50 different Oceanside arts, community, business, and civic organizations.

Come take part in a non-instructed life drawing session of a combination of 5 to 40 minute poses at the Oceanside Museum of Art. A live model, table, and chairs will be provided; artists bring their own drawing materials. Admission is $12 for Artist Alliance members, and $15 for visitors.
