North County’s Favorite Thanksgiving Season Tradition
“Move your feet before you eat” this Thanksgiving at Oceanside’s 20th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk & Kids Run. Register & join one of the fastest-growing holiday traditions. Be sure to bring the entire family, as there will be races for everyone. The event offers a costume contest, the largest teams competition, fabulous live entertainment on the course, and finisher medals for all participants. Free photos, medals, shirts, and live results to all registered participants.
Recognized as one of the Top Trots in the country by Runner’s World Magazine and the Los Angeles Times, the trot draws participants from 46 states and more than 500 cities, making it a true Thanksgiving destination. The event benefits the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank, along with dozens of North County schools and nonprofits. Over the past 20 years, the Trot has raised more than $500,000 to support organizations that serve the Oceanside community.
The scenic beachside course starts on Coast Highway and ends behind the amphitheater on the strand in Oceanside and features a fast 5K course with flat stretches, water views and ocean breezes.
