Endangered Species Day
Buena Vista Audubon Society and Preserve Calavera are sponsoring the 9th annual Endangered Species Day and Open House at the Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center on May 18 from 10-2 pm. This is a free family event with activities for children of all ages: nature journals, seed “mudders”, lagoon dip, a scavenger hunt, to name a few. Learn about the Endangered Species Act, local threats, and recovering species as well as view local birds and reptiles.
