Wedding Celebration Honoring Active Military

In early 2016, Military Mondays: Special Edition had the privilege of hosting SIX military elopement ceremonies during Oceanside Valentine’s Week. Each one of the ceremonies was as special and unique as the couples themselves.

The day began with record warm temperatures for a February, along with bright clear skies which had the water in the harbor dancing with glistening sunlight all day long. The perfect backdrop to any Southern California wedding. The chuppah was set up on the peninsula of Oceanside Marina Suites surrounded by white chiavari chairs both provided by Anar Party Rental. The added floral topper and bouquets were beautifully designed by Flowers by Azalea.

Preston Foreman, aka DJ Wreckrd, provided sound and set the atmosphere with lovely music throughout the day. The owners of Vows from the Heart Ministries and Military Mondays, Reverend Christopher Tuttle and Chaplain Mary Cyr-Tuttle performed the vows and kept us simultaneously laughing and crying along our couples.

Petite Madeline Bakery graciously provided the personal sized wedding cakes for each couple to get a harbor side cake cutting, and an additional little photo op. It was a race against the heat at times, but the messier the cake, the better the pictures.

It was an emotional but amazing day for us all and we just can’t wait to do it again! In the meantime, enjoy more photos provided by our professional photographers who also donated their time and talent. Special thank you also goes out to Holiday Inn Oceanside Marina for granting our couples an overnight stay.
