Summer Concerts in Oceanside

There’s not much we love more than summer, and what better way to celebrate summertime than with a concert in Oceanside? O’side concerts are plentiful during this time of year and serve as the perfect excuse to get out and enjoy yourself down in beautiful Southern California! Whether you fancy classic rock, smooth jazz, pop, blues, country or anything in-between you’re sure to find the perfect act to experience with friends and family! So come on down and join us for music, food, lovely scenery, and a good time!

FREE Concerts in the Park

What: The FREE Concerts in the Park series takes place throughout Oceanside from June into September, featuring different musical acts performing various genres so that everyone gets to enjoy their favorite types of music! We recommend bringing a beach chair or a blanket, sitting back and enjoying the show with friends and family.

Pier Amphitheater Concert

Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro Festival Village

What: The largest and only televised women’s surf contest in the world, Super Girl Surf Pro is a weekend long surfing competition complete with its very own Festival Village stationed in and around the Pier Amphitheatre. Featuring vendors, family-friendly activities and live concerts all weekend long, Festival Village is free to attend. The live entertainment will include performances by top musical artists. Music at the Museum

Taryn Donath Duo

What:Explore the exhibitions and stay for the music as Oceanside’s First Friday Art Walk extends into the night at OMA with two time San Diego Music Award winner, Taryn Donath. Taryn Donath and drummer Matthew Taylor run the gamut from 60’s soul to jazz and swing, to funk and Latin to straight up boogie-woogie! These talented performers demonstrate their chemistry through improvisation and true spontaneity. Taryn has been described as “not your typical piano player, putting everything she has into her piano playing while belting it out with a smile!”

Leonard Patton Trio

What:Explore the exhibitions and stay for the music as Oceanside’s First Friday Art Walk extends into the night at OMA with vocalist Leonard Patton. Patton has been a force in the jazz scene for many years both locally in San Diego as well as around the country. Leonard’s sound has been described as “soothing to the soul” and he has performed and recorded with many world class musicians including, Peter Sprague, Antonio Sanchez, Geoffrey Keezer, and most recently, with multi Grammy-award-winning jazz guitar legend, Pat Metheny.

Johnny Tarr Group

What:Explore the exhibitions and stay for the music as Oceanside’s First Friday Art Walk extends into the night at OMA with Singer / Songwriter Jonny Tarr and his Quintet A winner of the 2020 San Diego Music Award for Best Pop Artist, Tarr describes himself as a left of center maverick and musical rogue. Heavily influenced by “music that makes people dance,” The Jonny Tarr Quintet has headlined the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show’s D’Angelico Stage and been part of the opening act for the Pink Floyd Experience.

Summer Jam Sessions

Juneteenth Celebration Jazz Festival

What: The NSDC NAACP will host its Annual Juneteenth Multicultural Celebration and Jazz Festival. This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Downtown Oceanside on Ditmar and Pier View Way. This celebration is free and open to the public! You are enthusiastically invited to attend this celebratory event! At this day-long event, attendees will enjoy, shopping, food, youth activities, and other informational and health awareness booths. Live Gospel and Jazz entertainment will also be presented throughout the day.

In Your Neighborhood with Lou Niles

What: In Your Neighborhood w/ Lou Niles. It is a free live music show, must be 21+ to attend. This event presents Pinkeye and The Lover The Liar at the Pour House. DJ around 9pm to kick things off then both bands play. Join the Pour House for a fun night of music!

The Soto Six Residency: Tribute to Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk

What: You won’t want to miss this month’s installment of The Soto Six’s Brown Cup residency (AKA Oceanside’s ONLY live jazz series)! The Soto Six will present a tribute to two of jazz’s biggest icons: Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk! Come out for an intimate evening of live jazz in beautiful Oceanside, it is sure to be an evening to remember! As always, show is free with no cover charge and all are welcome to attend.
