BREAKWATER WAY BEACH

Quiet and family friendly.

Bring your volleyball.

Located just south of Oceanside Harbor, Breakwater Way beach is home to one of the most popular surf breaks in O’side, but is quiet and a favorite with families and beach volleyball players. In summer, the area directly in front of Tower 8 is closed to surfing, necessitating a short walk down to the jetty where an epic break forms at the sandbar created where the San Luis Rey River runs into the ocean. Be advised that swimming in the river mouth is not advised due to strong currents and the potential for high levels of bacteria.

Parking

Metered parking is available on Pacific Street, or head to the pay parking lot located just east of Pacific Street.
