Ukrainian Mosaic Orchestra
The Ukrainian Mosaic Orchestra will present a concert on Sunday, November 12, 3:00pm, at the Oceanside Performing Arts Center, 1 Pirates Cove, in downtown Oceanside, Interstate 5 and Mission Avenue.
Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “musically superb,” the 40-member orchestra plays traditional East European folk instruments such as the balalaika, domra, bayan and gusli. The concert will feature an array of world-class guest artists from Europe and the United States: grammy-winning instrumentalists, renowned vocalists, and high-flying folk dancers, many of whom have traveled from their embattled homeland for the concert. They will perform traditional and popular music from Ukraine and around the world, plus film scores, and classical favorites.
