Thanksgiving and Remembrance – A Choral Celebration at Mission San Luis Rey
This beautiful and spiritually uplifting concert is the final offering by the San Luis Rey Chorale in celebration of their 45th anniversary. Under the direction of David Lewis, the 60-voice choir has presented hundreds of concerts in the Historic Mission Church since 1976 and is the choir and orchestra for the annual Candlelight Christmas Concerts in the mission. This concert features a wide variety of music from many different eras and styles and offers the listener the opportunity to be profoundly moved by songs of loss and reconciliation and joyfully uplifted by songs of comfort and resurrection. There will be spirituals and gospel songs, as well as songs of inspiration.
