Art Alive Petal Pop-Up

A Centennial Soirée in Full Bloom
Oceanside is in bloom thanks to a vibrant Petal Pop-Up at the iconic Top Gun House, installed the morning of March 20 by local floral design studio Native Poppy. The installation is part of Art Alive, the San Diego Museum of Art’s signature spring celebration, and its opening night event, Bloom Bash.
For one weekend only – March 20–22 – visitors can stop by to see the historic cottage transformed with layers of fresh seasonal blooms, an eye-catching blend of coastal charm, spring color, and creative design. It’s a limited-time moment that’s perfect for photos, a quick stroll, or simply soaking in the beauty of the season.

This Oceanside installation is the first in a series of Petal Pop-Ups appearing across San Diego County in the weeks leading up to Art Alive, with additional surprise locations revealed and installed on select weekends through mid-April. After the flowers fade in Oceanside, we’ll be sharing updates on the next Petal Pop-Up destinations as they’re announced- so you can keep following the bloom wherever it appears next.
