What: Celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene in the heart of downtown Oceanside. The First Friday: Oceanside Art Walk will showcase live performances, music, poetry, art education, and culinary and pop-up art galleries showcased in local businesses and public spaces. This fun event is free and open to the public.

- Bonus: “Art Before Dark” Halloween Activities will be taking place at the Oceanside Museum of Art from 5-8pm, featuring family friendly activities including monster mask crafting, pumpkin decorating, and more.
What: Camp Pendleton Paintball Park is once again hosting their annual zombie themed paintball games throughout October. There are three zombie shooting attractions to choose from; a zombie infested trail, a zombie hunting ride that navigates through zombie infected fields, and standard paintball play with a zombie theme. Tickets are $29 each or 2 for $39, which includes all equipment and a starter pack of paintballs.

What: Taste of Oceanside is back for 2018, offering you the chance to sample some of Oceanside’s best food, beer, and wine! This highly anticipated annual event is limited to 1,000 tickets, with regular food tasting tickets available for $30 and food tickets plus beer and wine tasting available for $40. There will also be ‘Taste Trolleys’ making continuous loops throughout downtown for you to hop on and off of so that you don’t miss a single delicious bite!

What: The locally organized South O Walkabout is a monthly walking event that showcases the beach community and its’ unique shops and restaurants. This month’s walkabout will be “Hocus Pocus” themed! So come and discover the unique shopping and dining experiences offered in South Oceanside and eat, drink, shop, and walk!
When: Wednesday, October 10, 2018, 5-8pm

What: Join in celebrating Pride at the largest coastal Pride festival in California! This year’s free family-friendly celebration will kick off at 11 a.m and will include live entertainment on two stages, midway games, a youth zone, over 100 vendors, inspirational speakers, food trucks and more!

Breakwater Brewing, SpringHill Suites, Hello Betty, and Compass Wellness Back2Good Program are teaming up to provide attendees music, food and a tasting glass good for unlimited tastings! What: Urge Oceanside is offering their own special Oktoberfest celebration featuring beers from Germany, San Diego Craft Oktoberfest beers, and Mason Ale Works Märzen Oktoberfest Brews. What: Thursday is market day in downtown Oceanside! As the sun begins to set on October 25th the family-friendly Sunset Market will become a spooky good time! Kids will be able to trick or treat through the vendor booths as well as participate in a costume parade at the main stage. Contests will also be held at the main stage to find the most evil laugh and the most blood curdling scream! In addition, Halloween music will be playing all night long!

What: In celebration of Dia de los Muertos and Halloween, the Oceanside Museum of Art presents Art After Dark. Artwork by Ragnar serves as inspiration for the classic Halloween carnival theme that will include a variety of rousing entertainment including a DJ, belly dancers, burlesque performances, a flash mob and speed painter! This popular event is 21+ only, and sells out quickly so be sure to buy your tickets soon.

What: 2018 marks the 18th anniversary of the Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, festival in Oceanside. This traditional Mexican holiday dating back thousands of years celebrates and honors the memories of the deceased with colorful displays, face painting and more. This year the free public festival will be more vibrant and exciting than ever before with beautiful altars on display, as well as local traditional dancers and entertainment, a classic car show, arts & crafts, a shopping mercado filled with traditional food vendors and more. All attendees are encouraged to participate in the free interactive chalk cemetery where they can dedicate images, flowers and candles to their lost loved ones.
