O’side Rock Show at Belching Beaver

What: Head to Belching Beaver’s Oceanside location for a day that will ROCK! Enjoy a day of local bands preforming for you while you sip delicious brews and enjoy local flavor! This is an all ages free event, must be 21+ to drink.

When: Saturday, October 1, 2022, 1pm-9pm

Taste of Oceanside

What: Stroll around downtown Oceanside and sample food from some of the hottest restaurants our city’s incredible Dining Scene has to offer. In addition, tickets can be upgraded to include tastings from Oceanside’s breweries and wineries! Free ‘Taste Trolleys’ will be making a continuous loop throughout the downtown to make your taste journey a relaxing experience and to ensure you don’t miss out on any stops.

First Friday: Oceanside Art Walk

What: Celebrate the thriving arts and culture scene in the heart of downtown Oceanside. The First Friday: Oceanside Art Walk will showcase live performances, music, poetry, art education, and culinary and pop-up art galleries showcased in local businesses and public spaces.

Taste Of Art: Upcycled 3D Sculptures

What: Find the extraordinary in ordinary everyday objects and creatively construct your own 3D sculpture. Join Robin Douglas to explore the work of artists like Ruth Asawa, Jasper Johns, and Robert Rauschenberg, and adopt upcycling as your next creative habit. While extra materials will be available to augment your creation, we encourage you to bring in any materials such as wood, electronic pieces, cardboard packing, clothing, and more! Enjoy appetizers and drinks during a brief presentation before creating an original work of art.

Movie in the Park: Raya and the Last Dragon

What: Join Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department for Movies in the Park featuring the movie Raya and the Last Dragon! These family-friendly movies will start at dark so be sure to check sunset times to make sure you are there on time. Don’t forget your chairs, blankets and snacks! Star Theatre Co Presents Next to Normal

What: Next to Normal, with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, Next to Normal was also chosen as “one of the year’s ten best shows” by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone and The New York Times.  Rated:  PG-13.

Dia de los Muertos Festival

What: This multi-cultural festival celebrates the traditional Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a fun family-friendly event with retail and food booths. Featuring traditional live entertainment, community and family altars built in memory of loved ones, music, Classic Car Show with car altares, marigolds from Mellano Flowers, Day of the Dead bread, Chalk Cemetery and children’s activity areas.

Black Plague Halloween Party

What: Prepare yourself for Black Plague’s 4th Annual Halloween Costume party – a frightening night filled with heart-pumping beats from local Alec Beretz, delicious eats from Full Metal Burgers, a Costume Contest and more! For those who want some fresh ink, The Body Art Bus will be serving up fresh tattoos all night!

Comedy Nights at Privateer Marketplace

Halloween Spooktakular at Mission Marketplace

What: Who’s ready to get spooky!? Join Mission Marketplace for their Halloween Spooktakular. This year, Mission Marketplace worked with nonprofit Adaptive Sports and Recreation Association (ASRA) to plan Halloween themed activities that ALL children, including those with mobility limitations, will enjoy.

Metamorphosis: An Art After Dark Spectacular

What: As day turns into night, transform into a creature of the night, and get weird at Oceanside Museum of Art’s signature Art After Dark event. Must be 21 and over to attend.

Oceanside Sunset Market

What: Sunset Market Day in Downtown Oceanside is BACK! This outdoor style festival brings together international food vendors, live entertainment and a children’s area – make an evening of it, stay and eat dinner! The market also includes arts and crafts vendors, making it a wonderful place to purchase the perfect gift or souvenir.

Sip, Paint and Gaze

What: Join Cynthia’s Artistic Expressions every Friday 5:30-7:30pm to “Sip, Paint and Gaze” on the rooftop of the Mission Pacific Resort painting the Oceanside Pier. Tickets are $55 per person and includes all art supplies, instructions, 3 hours of validated parking and a complimentary glass of wine and the best ocean views.
