Oceanside Celebrates Local Craft Brew at Beachside Beer Festival
Breakwater Brewing Company celebrates 4th anniversary by hosting a craft beer festival on July 21
Oceanside, Calif.- July 2, 2012– Oceanside’s Breakwater Brewing Company is celebrating its 4th anniversary by bringing together the best craft beer in the county during a beer festival on July 21, 2012. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oceanside Junior Seau Amphitheater just steps from the beach. Guests will enjoy award-winning craft brew, music from hot local bands, delicious eats from local food vendors and, of course, spectacular ocean views.
“San Diego is a hotbed for some of the best craft beer in the country,” said Billy Sager, bar manager/event coordinator at Breakwater Brewery. “What better way to celebrate our anniversary than by bringing together our local talent and celebrating the success of our region.”
Tickets are $30 and include a commemorative glass and ten 4-ounce tasters from beer companies including Ballast Point, Coronado, Pizza Port, Green Flash, Manzanita, Stone, Karl Straus, Latitude 33, Lost Abbey, Iron Fist and Breakwater Brewery. Guests will also have access to local food booths provided by Main Street Oceanside’s Sunset Market.
A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold for $45 and include a VIP tasting session from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., festival T-shirt, commemorative glass, ten 4-ounce tasters and appetizers from Breakwater Brewery’s kitchen.
Radio station 94.9FM is sponsoring the festival entertainment, which will include performances by local bands including Oceanside’s The Barnwell Shift, Maren Parusel, Hills Like Elephants, The Beautiful View, Gone Baby Gone and Scott Mathiasen.
Tickets can be purchased at www.breakwaterbrewing.com or at www.ticketderby.com. Since the amphitheater is a short two blocks from the Oceanside transit center, guests are encouraged to ride the Coaster to the event.
