Banana Dang!
The logo of Banana Dang is a smiling banana. But more importantly, DANG is a rallying cry that says “I want the best coffee and banana smoothies”!
The multi-roaster coffee retail brand was founded in 2007 by Thanh-Thanh Dang and Mario Jimenez. Originally based in Rincon, Puerto Rico—Banana Dang peeled out of its Caribbean home and relocated in 2015 to downtown Oceanside, Calif.
The Oside hangout features thoughtfully crafted coffee with (latte) art in every cup and shots pulled to precision by friendly baristas. Also part of the fun are banana smoothies—some MADE DIRTY with espresso—paired with “Happy Toast,” artisanal breads topped with delicious spreads. On the counter are semi-sweets: locally made banana bread and (on weekends) custom made Chunky Monkey donuts.
The cheeky coffee retail brand is also known for its offbeat t-shirts, branded mugs, tumblers, stickers, buttons, magnets, caps, and active green community involvement.
