Zoe Kanemitsu a Japanese American artist born in Los Angeles, California on March 2, 1969. She is the daughter of Matsumi “Mike” Kanemitsu, one of the most influential modern artists of the twentieth century. She is inspired by seeing, hearing, smelling, and feeling the ocean which motivated her to hand-drawn and created each of the characters in this one-of-a-kind coloring book that is filled with creatures and backdrops that can only be found in Oceanside, CA.
