Oceanside is becoming the hub for retreats and team building with its beautiful weather, miles of sandy beaches, and numerous options to eat, play, shop, and stay. Our recent group was Texas Roadhouse who gathered 45 team members to enjoy an awesome team building retreat in Oceanside! Outside of the meeting room, the group bonded through their team-oriented beach boot camp, themed dinners, and exploration of all of the local food and brew spots.

Oceanside is home to several fitness challenges a year, but did you know that there are an additional seven endurance events held annually on neighboring Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton? Many people are familiar with the Marine Corps Mud Run, but in addition to that, the Hard Corp Race Series (HCRS) has a variety of other events that are compiled of running, cycling, and water challenges that take the traditional fitness challenge to the next level. We sat down with Becky Mintz, an athlete and HCRS participant, to ask her why she chooses to include the HCRS events in her annual training schedule.
