What: Join the Oceanside Museum of Art for a virtual studio visit featuring artists from the upcoming virtual Art Auction. Learn about their artistic processes and sources of inspiration while taking a behind-the-scenes look at where the work happens.

Oceanside Public Library Daily Virtual Storytimes

What: Join the Oceanside Public Library on Facebook or Instagram pages for daily Virtual Storytime with all of your favorite Librarians and storytime songs. On both Facebook and Instagram, we are @oceansidelibrary. Click on the circle on the top left in both Facebook and Instagram to watch stories, then follow us for daily content!

Jason Mraz’s La La La Livestream

Children’s Discovery Museum Live Storytime

What: The Children’s Discovery Museum is going live to bring you some of their daily museum activities to enjoy from home. Join Ms. Whitney for live storytimes on Facebook and be sure to follow them on social media to receive a notification for when they go live and keep up with the museum fun!

Spreckels Organ Pavillion’s Live Concerts

What: Spreckels Organ Pavillion’s concerts go live with streams of each Sunday’s concert performed on their world-famous pipe organ. The Spreckels Organ one-hour concert has music for everyone; from Bach to Rock, Early Music to Contemporary and Classical to Broadway. These concerts are sponsored by the City of San Diego with support from the Spreckels Organ Society.

The Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) for example features rotating galleries and exhibitions based on a wide variety of subjects and mediums. Come along as we get a sneak peak into OMA’s newest exhibition “Sidewalk Activism” with the art curator himself, Dr. G. James Daichendt!

California Surf Museum

The California Surf Museum has long been a staple of Oceanside featuring rotating exhibits alongside permanent displays such as the history of surfboards, as well as the Bethany Hamilton’s exhibit with the actual surfboard from the infamous shark attack that took her left arm.

Come along as we get a sneak peak into some of what the surf museum has to offer with Museum President Jim Kempton.


San Diego Zoo Live Cams

The San Diego Zoo has a number of live streams going on throughout the day focusing on various animals. The streams include an ape cam, an elephant cam, a koala cam, a panda cam, and more.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Live Cams

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography is live streaming from its Giant Kelp Forest exhibit. The Kelp Cam is a stunning live feed featuring Leopard Sharks, Moray Eels, Garibaldi and a 300-pound Giant Black Seabass. The aquarium is also working on a new section of the website dedicated to online learning. Newly created online resources for educators and parents will be available as free downloads.There will also be informal learning content such as art projects and educational coloring pages.
