Music at the Museum with Johnny Tarr
What: Explore the exhibitions for free starting at 5:00pm and stay for the free concert as Oceanside’s First Friday Art Walk extends into the night with the explosive sound and epic blues-rock guitar riffs of Johnny Tarr and his quintet.

Annual Labor Day Pier Swim
What: The Oceanside Pier Swim is an annual one mile swim that begins and ends on the beach, traversing around the Oceanside Pier. The Pier Swim opens with swimmers diving into the surf, circles one mile around the pier and ultimately ends with swimmers riding waves onto the beach and dashing towards a finish line on the sand.

U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships
What: Established in 2017 right here in Oceanside, this contest showcases the best adaptive surfers in the country. The event was founded by the Stoked for Life Foundation bringing awareness to the rehabilitative benefits of adapted water sports through clinics and education in addition to raising awareness for access to our beach communities for those with disabilities.

Downtown Oceanside History Walk
What: JoinThe Oceanside Historical Society for a 2-hour history walk tour will begin at the front of the Oceanside Public Library (look for the Andrew Jackson Myers plaque) and will show participants the historical significance of local homes, churches & banks, three Irving J. Gill buildings, the famed “Top Gun” house, the Oceanside Pier & bandshell, and a variety of other sites. These walks are free (donations accepted) and open to everyone, and are pleasantly paced so folks of all ages can participate.

Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro
What: The world’s top professional female surfers will be back in Oceanside for the 15th annual Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro, a 3 day event from September 16 – 19, 2021. The weekend will be jam-packed with world-class surfing competition that will blow your mind, and a festival village loaded with female-inspired vendors, activities and amazing entertainment. The event is free to attend!
The Super Girl Surf Pro is the largest female surfing event in the world, the only World Surf League (WSL) WQS 5000 women’s event in the U.S., and offers valuable points for surfers to qualify onto the Women’s Championship Tour in 2022.

Oceanside Harbor Days
What: All are invited to Oceanside Harbor for the annual Oceanside Harbor Days celebration. Billie! Backstage with Lady Day
What: See this two-act play that combines storytelling and song to capture the essence of Billie Holiday’s music and life.
