Dia de los Muertos Shrine/Altar Building & Vigil at Studio ACE
Individuals and families (chosen or otherwise!) are invited to attend one of two (or both!) workshops to construct shrines for loved ones that have passed on and discuss traditional altar building for Día de los Muertos.
Workshop attendees are asked to bring photos of the loved ones they wish to commemorate in their shrines. The studio will provide all other materials for crafting, including boxes, embellishments, and more.
Then, bring your shrines and offerings to Studio ACE to build an altar commemorating those that we’ve lost, in celebration of their lives and our memories of them. The celebration will conclude with a vigil. Details below!
FAMILY SHRINE BUILDING WORKSHOPS:
Workshop 1:
Date: Friday, October 29
Time: 4:30-6:30pm (Attendees should arrive no later than 5:45pm)
Cost: $15 per family (Materials and limited instruction included)
Workshop 2:
Date: Saturday 10/30
Time: 10:00-12:00pm (Attendees should arrive no later than 11:15am)
Cost: $15 per family (Materials and limited instruction included)
ALTAR BUILDING & VIGIL:
Date: Saturday, October 30
Time: 5:30-7:00pm
Cost: Free with Family Shrine Building Workshop Purchase
