Oceanside Tree Lighting at Regal Center Plaza

Oceanside kicks off the holiday season with a grand Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on November 29 at downtown’s Regal Center Plaza at 401 Mission Street. Holiday Jazz Concert at Oceanside Museum of Art

Get into the holiday spirit at Oceanside Museum of Art’s next 333’s Jazz at the Museum featuring Allison Adams Tucker on Thursday, December 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Playing with her quartet featuring Danny Green on piano, Evona Wascinski on upright bass and Julien Cantelm on drums, Tucker will be playing a selection of world jazz, weaved together with a fun holiday mix of classic jazz songs and stories from around the world.
Join OMA and 333 Pacific Restaurant for this dynamic jazz series with a new improved cocktail format. Guests will enjoy gourmet appetizers, desserts and specialty wines throughout the show with plenty of room for dancing and mingling. The Old Mission San Luis Rey is hosting its 2nd Annual Christmas Concert, performed in the Historic Church by LEGACY and the St. Charles Borromeo Church Choir, conducted by James Drollinger, on Friday, December 7th from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The concert will be followed by a dessert reception in the Sacred Garden. Parade of Lights at Oceanside Harbor

Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, kayaks and dingys dress up in holiday swag and circle the Oceanside Harbor to enchant onlookers at the harbor, restaurants and beach. Many of the boats feature people dressed up like Santa waving to the crowd. One of the best viewing spots is along the side of the Oceanside Harbor near the fishing dock and police station. From this vantage point, you can see the parade twice.
Holiday Home Tour

The Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are pleased to present the annual Holiday Home Tour on Sunday, December 9, 2012 with self-guided tours taking place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This year’s event will feature five enchanting Oceanside homes festively decorated for the holidays. The highlight will be two Roberts Cottages at one destination location.
Tour participants are invited to stop at the Civic Center Library, located at 330 North Coast Highway, for refreshments, a variety of holiday shopping opportunities at the better-than-ever Gift Boutique, and dancing and singing entertainment. There will also be chances to win amazing auction prizes. Tickets are $20 each. They can be purchased at the Civic Center Library at 330 North Coast Highway or at the Mission Branch Library at 3861 Mission Avenue. Each Thursday in December, shoppers at the Sunset Market will be treated to the Downtown Holiday Gift Market with hundreds of unusual and exotic gift ideas from around the world. The Certified Farmers Market section features farm fresh produce and floral items plus a myriad of gourmet food items to take home for holiday parties. Strolling carolers add to the merriment. Chanukah Festival at Oceanside Civic Center

The Chabad Jewish Center presents the annual Chanukah Festival at the Oceanside Civic Center that includes a giant 15 foot Menorah, performance by the children of Chabad Hebrew School, craft activities, hot latkes, decorate-your-own donuts and special popcorn activities.
