We often start sandcastles trying to make them as tall as possible, but this sandcastle started with a hole in the sand! Use molds to build up around it or to cut out shapes in the walls of the hole to create an a sandcastle that looks like an arena or stadium. Kids can grab their toys to populate this castle and give it a little life!
This sandcastle looks cool with the water coming up around it! The trick to this look is creating a little hill so that the sandcastle stands slightly above where the highest waves will reach. If the waves have too much access to where you’re building the sandcastle, you’ll be saying good-bye to your creation pretty quickly!
These sandcastles are simple enough for beginners, young children, or those who lack natural sandcastle-building abilities!
“Dropcastles” are fun and easy to make for even the most amateur sand sculptor. Simply grab wet sand and let it dribble through your fingers. Keep dropping more wet sand on top to create easy hills and castles on the beach.
Sand molds are great tools to make cool castles easily. Throw in some toys (or seashells) to add a little flair to any sandcastle!
If you have trouble building taller sand structures without them toppling over, try making something low to the ground. Start with an outline in the sand. Then, build up enough sand within the outline to make it stand out, without trying to get it too tall. Draw in some details on top, and you’re done!
