333 Pacific

You can’t beat the scenic location of decade-old 333 Pacific across from the Oceanside Pier. This upscale Cohn Restaurant Group steak-seafood spot introduced fine dining to the community.

The stylish art deco Vodka Lounge features over 100 vodkas from around the world. Try any one for a mere $8, from Belvedere Pink Grapefruit to Hangar One Wild Maine Blueberry. Indulge in one of the many house signature martinis or inspired classic cocktails. Good picks are the Bramble On with Ketel One Citroen or the bourbon-based Manhattan. For a decadent treat, order the Key Lime Pie Martini. This signature drink blends Svedka Vanilla Vodka, Key Lime Monin, house sour mix and lime foam. Lead bartender Chandler Ervin calls this tasty concoction “dessert in a glass.”

Happy hour also provides eight nibbles for $8 each. Opt for the customer favorite Sweet Chili Calamari. The crispy pile of lightly fried packs a citrusy, spicy punch. Looking for a vegetarian option? Enjoy the creamy Edamame Hummus served with Fresno pepper jelly, feta, carrot and pita.

Masters Kitchen and Cocktail

Find Masters Kitchen and Cocktail on South Coast Hwy 101 in a former drag car shop. A soaring arched ceiling, roll-up garage doors and massive brick wall speak to the building’s history. Lush greenery, vintage lighting, reclaimed wood and local art enhance this trendy eatery.

Master’s refined craft cocktail menu covers classics such as the Zombie, Irish Coffee, or an Old Fashioned adorned with a single round ice cube and a prized Lucardo Cherry. Creative spins on old favorites include the gin-based Master and Mule.

Hungry? The Executive Chef uses farm fresh, local ingredients in his unique take on California comfort food. Think Short Rib Mac N’Cheese with green chilies or Black Bean Quinoa Burgers. During happy hour, try the Masters Burger with truffle fries, the Root Beer BBQ Ribs, or the Carne Adovada Tacos. For a lighter yet luscious dish, the Ahi Poke comes with avocado, seaweed salad and wonton chips.

Harney Sushi Oceanside

Harney Sushi on Mission Ave brings creative Japanese to downtown Oceanside. Red accents, colorful graphics and a bubbling fish tank add a modern flair to the chic dining room. Enjoy early or late night happy hours with plenty of food and drink specials to make you smile.

Harney’s superb sake menu represents the five main styles of Japanese rice wine. From fruity to floral to earthy, you’re sure to find a flavor profile to suit your tastes. The restaurant also offers imported Japanese and local craft beer and fine wines. During happy hour, consider pairing your drink of choice with an order of Half and Half. This spicy, umami delight consists of half Flaming Lip Roll and half Bomb James Bomb Roll. Both rolls combine delectable tempura fried Cali Roll, cream cheese and spicy mayo. Jalapeno and sriracha top the first, spicy scallop and faux-nagi sauce the second.

What’s more, Harney Sushi adheres to the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch Program to source sustainable seafood. This means that you can enjoy premium quality seafood that is good for you and the planet. The restaurant also uses hormone and antibiotic-free Meyer Ranch Beef from vegetarian-fed cattle.

The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza

The convenient Coast Hwy 101 location, relaxed atmosphere, creative pizzas and stellar salads make The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza the perfect place to chill any day of the week. The indoor/outdoor seating and daily happy hour specials are an added attraction.

The most popular combo deals are the three mahi taquitos with a Pacifico for $10 and the half order of coal fire chicken wings with a Stella Artois for $11.50. The optional gluten-free crust baked in the 100% coal fire oven is outstanding.

Other go to items include fried brussels sprouts and their goat cheese gnocchi with white wine tomato sauce, ricotta and basil. A large part of the reason why The Privateer’s food is so tasty is that they use fresh seasonal ingredients such as the organic greens, spices, veggies and herbs sourced locally from Oceanside’s Cyclops Farms.
