Theatre Arts West Bring Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night to Oceanside
Opening on January 6th – Twelfth Night – and running Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 4:00 pm through January 22nd, Theatre Arts West’s production makes both a perfect Christmas gift and extends your holiday celebration with a magical take on Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy of Capricious Love A magical take on Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy of Capricious Love, Theatre Arts West casts you onto the shores of Illyria – a wondrous, timeless place that celebrates music, poetry, arts, and artists where the Duke is in love with Olivia. Olivia is in love with Cesario who is actually Viola who is in love with the Duke. Antonio loves Sebastian who is Viola’s twin brother who Olivia believes to be Cesario. Malvolio is in love with himself and a trio of misfits plot to take him down. Costumes, sections of backdrops, and set pieces painted by artists Ed Coonce, Krista Timberlake, and Gabriele Bitter will be available for purchase as visual art. Music by Alex Lopez will be available for purchase.
