Studio ACE: Art History Lecture Series

Studio ACE: Art History Lecture Series
Studio ACE: Art History Lecture Series
Studio ACE is excited to partner with Oceanside Public Library to host a free series of online art talks and virtual art making activities for older adults in Oceanside this Spring. Claude Monet is known as the founder of French Impressionism. Participants in the art making class will create a tissue paper landscape using tissue paper as a watercolor medium.
ACE Executive Director Julia Fister will pre-record talks that focus on different eras or art movements (also known as “isms”) in Art History. One talk will be released on the First Friday of each month, highlighting one artist to illustrate the selected movement. Then, a teaching artist will pair the theme with a live, virtual art making class (over Zoom) on the third Friday of each month, to further illustrate the movement.
The talk portion of the series is free and open to all. The art making portion of the series is also free but will have limited class size and is limited to older adults. Registration is required, and all supplies are included.
Register for the talks and each individual class by clicking here!
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library. For more information about Library programs and services, please visit www.oceansidepubliclibrary.org or call (760) 435-5600.
