Celebrate the arts and the unique voice of Oceanside. On June 15, renowned spoken-word poet Ant Black will host a workshop that will use the Before I Die theme and language as inspiration for participants to create original poetry. Before I Die is a global art project that invites people to contemplate mortality and share their personal aspirations in public. This participatory public art piece is part of a project sponsored by the California Center for the Book’s grant program, “Californians: Community Conversations About the Arts.” Parts of the wall will travel to various locations throughout Oceanside, in an effort to get wide-spread public participation in this powerful project.
