Poetry Celebration at the Library
April is National Poetry Month and the Oceanside Public Library is offering a Community Poetry Celebration and Poet Talk on April 22nd at 3pm. Library staff have asked Oceanside Locals and Community Leaders to share their favorite poems in addition to having featured poet Patricia Traxler share her favorite poems plus a sampling of her own original poetry. This celebration is free to attend and open to the public! More Information: This celebration is also a part of the 25th annual Oceanside Days of Art Festival which will be taking place April 22-23, with local artists selling a variety of unique artwork including paintings, sculptures, stained glass, ceramics, fine jewelry, photography and more. The festival, which is offered free to the public, will also have live stage performances, hands on art activities for both children and adults, street chalk artists, painting and sculpture demonstrations, and a delicious variety of food choices in the food court.
