Oceanside’s own, Dee Archer is a 1967 graduate from Oceanside High School. In her one-person, original musical “Soundtrack From My Crazy Life”, Dee tells the uplifting and often funny story of her life – including a unique, rich family history in jazz & rock ‘n’ roll. Her mother was a pioneering female trumpet player in Woody Herman’s Orchestra and her father was a top agent to many of the most prominent jazz and rock ‘n’ roll musicians of the 1950’s & 60’s. At the piano, Dee combines her unforgettable deep, soulful voice with her wry original lyrics and music, written over the course of her multi-decade career – which includes shared concert bills with B.B. King, Joe Cocker and more. “Soundtrack” is a multi-media event featuring dozens of photos and videos from past and present that document not only Dee’s music career, but her sudden meteoric rise as a prominent and successful entrepreneur and senior executive in the mobile phone industry.
