Lecture: The Art Of The Ancients (30,000 BC To 312 AD)

Come to the Oceanside Museum of Art Thursday May 4th to attend an insightful lecture on the art of the ancients from 30,000 BC to 312 AD. Robin Douglas will be speaking on the ritual, reverence, and relevance of prehistoric, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art in addition to how they influenced each other and morphed and merged into cultures that still intrigue today. Along with the lively conversation you can enjoy libations, popcorn, and chocolates to sweeten your experience. Admission is $10 for OMA members and $15 for Visitors. This lecture is part of a bigger four part series titled “30,000 Years of Art History in Four Nights” that explores art across the centuries, with lectures taking place May 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.
