Join Golden Coast Mead, So Rich Chocolates, and Southern Draw Cigars for their upcoming Mead, Chocolate & Cigar Pairing event that will introduce your taste buds to a cascade of complex flavors and profiles.

Taste artisan chocolates and meads, as you experience a hand crafted cigar and learn about the arts of mead-, chocolate-, and cigar-making. Each third of the cigar will be paired progressively with chocolate and mead.

There are only 30 open spaces per session so reserve your ticket early via eventbrite, or from the Golden Coast Mead tasting room by calling 760-630-4468.

Aged Savage Bois / A wildflower semi sweet mead made with French oak and aged for over a year and a half. Very floral with strong honey notes.
Paired w/ White Chocolate and Dried Pomelo
Galley Grog / An oaked mead that has been aging for over a year and a half. Flavors of whisky and dark fruit, reminiscent of brandy.
Paired w/ Dark Chocolate and Raspberry
Abundance and Joy / A cyser (mead made with apple juice instead of water). A hybrid of a cider and a mead.
Paired w/ White Chocolate Cinnamon Chipotle Toffee
Pseudo Scotch Barrel Aged Mead / A bochet (mead made with caramelized honey). A delightful caramel and honey flavor, entwined with notes of smoke and scotch.
Paired w/ White Chocolate with Maple Toffee
Southern Draw Firethorn Robusto:
HAND CRAFTED IN ESTELI, NICARAGUA
Firethorn has been specially blended to pair with medium weight styles of craft brews, boutique wines and spirits. The aged Habano Rosado, double-fermented wrapper is flawless with a taste that will quite simply – draw you in. The wrapper is complemented by perfectly aged binders and fillers from Cuban seed tobacco grown in Nicaragua and Mexico. From the first draw, the sweet and natural aromas will tantalize the palate. After the first third of the cigar, some spicy notes will blend and then gently trail off, leaving you with a flutter of cinnamon, cocoa and caramel, eventually fading into a subtle pecan-like finish. This handmade beauty has a closed foot for a smooth and toasty burn that results in a firm ash.
