In celebration of Black History Month, please join for the documentary 13th screening and discussion after the film. 13th is a 2016 American documentary by director Ava DuVernay centered on race in the United States criminal justice system. 13th has garnered acclaim from film critics, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 89th Oscars. This special screening of 13th will take place at MiraCosta College in BLDG 3400 Student Center, OC3450 (Aztlan A) and OC3449 (Aztlan B) from 4-6pm.
