Art in Conversation: Black History of Music & Dance
The Oceanside Public Library is proud to partner with the North County African American Women’s Association to present Art in Conversation: Black History of Music & Dance. In celebration of Black History Month, Alyssa Junious and BJ Robinson will create a new work inspired by the writings of Langston Hughes. In this conversation Junious will address how art has been and can be used as an act of resistance and collective healing. This engaging, interactive conversation will include recorded performances and attendees will be invited to participate throughout the conversation. The event will be held via Zoom, and registration is required. Sign-up on the Oceanside Public Library website at www.oceansidepubliclibrary.org.
