2025 ISA World Para Surfing Championship

Oceanside welcomes the world’s top Para surfers for the 10th edition of the ISA World Para Surfing Championship (WPSC). Over six days, athletes from around the globe will compete across nine sport classes, showcasing incredible skill, determination, and the spirit of inclusion.

Following a record-breaking 2024 event with nearly 150 competitors from 25 nations, this year promises even higher performance levels and intense rivalries. Since its debut in 2015, the WPSC has grown into a premier platform for Para Surfing, helping advance the sport toward potential inclusion in the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Oceanside has a history of hosting world-class surfing competitions, including the 2015 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship, and this event highlights the city’s commitment to celebrating athletic excellence and inspiring stories of resilience. ISA President Fernando Aguerre says: “The World Para Surfing Championship is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of resilience, inclusion, and the limitless spirit of surfing. This Championship elevates the sport and amplifies the voices of these incredible athletes.”
