One day. Two pies. This August twenty chefs will be making their way to Dominic’s Italian Restaurant here in Oceanside to compete in the first ever West Coast Culinary Trials. The winner of this competition wins a trip to Italy to compete in the 2018 World Pizza Championships. Judging will come from a celebrity panel of judges and culinary professionals. After the winners are announced, at 5pm all contestants will show off their talents in an iron chef style competition where they must use a secret ingredient in their pizza. Guests will then get to taste the creations and cast their vote for their favorite pizza. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity organization.
