Beginning with a mass start which takes swimmers out and around the City of Oceanside’s iconic fishing pier, quickly swimmers turn north, once past the pier, and swim towards the Oceanside Harbor. The Tiki Swim has two course options of a 2.4 mile and 1.2 mile swim – the participants in the 2.4 mil swim should expect a merge with the 1.2 mile swimmers halfway through their course. This swim is the only time swimmer can legally swim through the Harbor, so do not miss your chance to add this to your quiver of completed San Diego courses! Finishing at the boat launch ramps, swimmers will have protected, calm water to glide through as they race to the finish line.
As a side event to the OCeanside Harbor Days, taking the time to watch this event and participate will be spectacular and fun – and you can refuel on some god eats once you complete the race!
When: September 27 @ 10 am to 12 pm

The Star Theatre Company Presents NOISES OFF from September 25- October 4th in Oceanside, CA.
A comedic farce written by the Michael Frayn, this concept of a play within a play, in this case a dreadful farce called “Nothing On” — the type of production in which many doors continually open and shut. The setting has been transplanted from English provincial theatre to Des Moines, Iowa, where a second-rate theatrical troupe is preparing to perform the Broadway-bound. Complicating matters are the personal problems and backstage relationships that have fostered jealousy and petty squabbling and intruded upon any professionalism this motley crew can muster. As the company works its way to New York City, the eccentricities of the cast come to the forefront and the performances on the road dissolve into chaos on and off stage.
