Armed Forces Day: May 16, 2015
As Armed Forces Day approaches, Oceanside is preparing for its annual Operation Appreciation, an event to honor our military! “Operation Appreciation began after 9/11 and has become a community tradition that draws 10,000 people every year to this festival.”

When: Saturday, May 16th from 11 am – 4pm
Where: Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre, 200 The Strand Oceanside
What to Expect
On Saturday, May 16, from 11 am – 4pm, join in on the fun at the Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre where thousands of active duty military and their family members will be treated to a day of free food, carnival rides, and entertainment. If you are active duty military, be sure yourself and your dependents bring an Active Duty Military ID Card to get unlimited rides, activities, and a free lunch.
This event is open to the public, and tickets will be available for purchase for those who are not military personnel. There will also be free live music, vendors, military demonstrations, land and water vehicles, Charger girls and more!
