Living Tea Brewing Co. is a new kind of brewery to hit Oceanside CA. While most of us think beer when we hear the word “brewery,” Living Tea Brewing Co. is a brewery for living tea, a kombucha-based drink. While Living Tea Brewing Co. has been serving up their brew at locations like Hill Street Cafe and The Cup, Living Tea Brewery & Market is now open on Wisconsin Avenue for a large selection of living tea flavors on tap, as well as organic and fair-trade snacks and products, many of which are locally-sourced.
If you’re unfamiliar with kombucha, you’re not alone. A drink that’s been gaining popularity on the health-food market in recent years, kombucha is a fermented sweet tea with active cultures of healthy yeast and bacteria (the “living” part of living tea). Basically, it’s a fizzy tea full of probiotics. While not confirmed by scientific evidence, kombucha tea proponents claim that the drink is a good source of probiotics for the intestines and contains vitamins and detoxifying properties for the body and immune system.
According to Living Tea Brewing Co., “Living Tea is NOT your Average Kombucha!” Made with 100% raw and organic kombucha, Living Tea also contains pure h2o, organic and fair-trade tea, organic and fair-trade cane juice, and organic fresh-pressed juice. The Living Tea Brewery & Market serves this “crisp, refreshing, and effervescent brew” on tap by the glass or by the growler in nine unique flavors.
According to Living Tea Brewing Co., the tea can be an all-natural alternative to coffee, soda, energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages, but it also tastes great mixed with craft beer, champagne, wine, sake, or spirits. [image]
More than Tea
While kombucha tea is the obvious star of the new Oceanside shop, Living Tea Brewery & Market offers more to their experience than tea. The store also features live music and a photo booth, as well as local, organic, fair-trade, and non-GMO products. Available products will include bulk tea, sugar, herbs and spices, grains, superfoods, and non-GMO popcorn, as well as local hygiene and health products.
If you’ve been curious about kombucha or just want to shop around in the market for unique products and foods, Living Tea Brewery & Market is the newest local place to stop in!
