A bitter woman named Miss Hannigan runs the orphanage, but with the help of the other orphan girls she escapes Miss Hannigan’s cruel treatment. Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol
December 5-21, 2014
Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ original Christmas Carol. This version is rewritten from the perspective of Marley who plays the first ghost in the original story. In this version Marley gives his account of what happened behind the scenes. We see him trying to save Ebenezer Scrooge’s soul, and in the process, saves his own. He is aided by “Bogle, a malicious little hell-sprite with an agenda of his own.” After a rough start they begin their adventures, which take them to the brink of death and back. Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol gives you a different perspective on the original Dickens tale and brings everything back around full-circle. This performance is destined to be a holiday classic! They hear about the church’s annual Christmas Pageant and end up bullying their way into lead roles.
