Oceanside has many classic breweries that are favorites among visitors and locals alike. However, Oside will also be home to some new spots in the not-so-distant future…

As for now, we’ve compiled a list of 4 Downtown Oceanside breweries you’ll want to hit on your next pub crawl!

Make your first stop Breakwater Brewing Company, a local hotspot where you can get delicious pizza and a tasty beer. Founded in 2008, Breakwater used equipment salvaged from a brewery in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and was ready to offer an experience like no other for beer lovers. *Visit Breakwater’s website to learn more.

Oceanside Breweries on the Horizon

Belching Beaver Brewery

1334 Rocky Point Drive

The Vista-based brewery, Belching Beaver, is in the works to build an Oceanside production facility that will later have a tasting room as well.

“Belching Beaver owner Tom Vogel said the facility will allow the company to increase production from about 10,000 barrels a year to about 38,000 barrels to meet demand.

‘We just can’t produce enough beer,’ Vogel said.”

New brewpub by Grant Tondro

2002 S. Coast Highway

Grant Tondro, co-owner of Urge American Gastropub in Rancho Bernardo, has begun preparations for a new Oceanside brewpub on S. Coast Highway.

“‘Oceanside is what’s happening right now,’ Tondro said.

About 1,500 square feet of the 9,200 square-foot building will house a 10-barrel brewing system. It will also include a bar, dining room and patio. The brewery will have 41 beers on tap including its own list of West Coast style IPAs and hoppy pale ales.”
